What is a wage garnishment?

- Obtain a judgement from the court and make a request for wage garnishment. Once approved,
- Be authorized to take steps to garnish a portion of the debtor’s paycheque.
In Quebec, the percentage amount can be up to 30% of the debtor’s gross salary after exemptions.
